GOLDS returns with sophomore single 'Don't Care'

Fresh face GOLDS is back with her dreamy synth-pop on latest single ‘Don’t Care’.

Earlier this year CelebMix brought you GOLDS’ debut track ‘Broken Wing‘, a bold and stunning stride into the industry. Now, Amali Golden is back with a follow-up in ‘Don’t Care’.

Having already received support from triple j unearthed, amongst others, ‘Don’t Care’ showcases trendy electropop pulled between GOLDS’ airy vocals and R&B influenced production. Garnering thousands of streams in days, it’s another track that goes some way to marking GOLDS out as an innovative voice.

‘Don’t Care’ sees GOLDS keep things in the family on production again, as Beau Golden co-writes and produces the single (while he’s got a spare moment from touring with wonder-kid Ruel). An introspective flick of empowerment, GOLDS opened up to triple j about the meaning of the single.

“Don’t Care is about accepting that relationships evolve and sometimes they no longer serve you (be it in friendship or in love). It’s an anthem to stand up for your own wants and needs, and also to show the other person enough respect to let them go.”

Only the second taste from an artist fast carving her own space in the industry, exciting times are ahead for GOLDS’ new sounds.
